その文化は今の時代にも受け継がれ、暮らしの中に自然と根付いています。

庵治・牟礼の石の産地にも、こうした姿物を石でつくってきた歴史があります。

墓石のような幾何学的な形を正確に仕上げる技術だけでなく、
図面では表せない彫刻を形にする職人の感覚や手仕事も、この産地を支えてきた大切な財産です。

SUGATAMONOは、はっきりとした用途を持つ生活道具とは違い、人の心にそっと寄り添う「姿物」をかたちにしていきます。

そこに込められた想いや背景とともに、静かに暮らしの中に在り続ける存在を目指しています。

また、ものづくりを通して職人の技術を磨き、その価値を次の世代へとつないでいくことも、大切にしていることのひとつです。

Since long ago, people have sought something to hold onto
— placing their thoughts and wishes into forms known as sugatamono.
This tradition continues today,
quietly finding its place in everyday life. In the stone-producing region of Aji and Mure,
there is also a history of shaping such forms from stone.
Beyond the precision required to craft geometric forms like gravestones,
this place has been sustained by the sensitivity and craftsmanship that give shape to what cannot be drawn.

SUGATAMONO is a brand that gives form to these gentle presences
— objects that do not serve a fixed function, but quietly stay close to the human heart.

Each piece carries a story and a feeling, existing softly within daily life.
Through this work, we also seek to refine the skills of artisans and pass them on to the next generation.
