庵治・牟礼の石の産地にも、こうした姿物を石でつくってきた歴史があります。

墓石のような幾何学的な形を正確に仕上げる技術だけでなく、図面では表せないかたちを生み出す、職人の感覚や手仕事も、この産地を支えてきました。

Since long ago, people have sought something to hold onto — placing their thoughts and wishes into forms known as sugatamono.
This tradition continues today, quietly finding its place in everyday life.
In the stone-producing region of Aji and Mure, there is also a history of shaping such forms from stone.
Beyond the precision required to craft geometric forms like gravestones,
this place has been sustained by the sensitivity and craftsmanship that give shape to what cannot be drawn.
